Derrick Willis
Derrick is a 1999 graduate from East Carter High School, 2003 graduate from Morehead State University and a 2006 graduate of Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky university.
Derrick served as a clerk for Judge Marc Rosen for one year prior to practicing criminal law and family law in Boyd County, Kentucky. He fulfilled his lifelong dream to return to Carter County, Kentucky and provide quality representation to Carter, Elliott, Morgan and other surrounding counties.
Derrick built The Willis Law Office from the ground up as a solo-practitioner. He now represents Grayson Rural Electric Cooperative Corporation, City of Olive Hill, Rattlesnake Ridge Water District, and a busy civil practice primarily involving family law. Derrick has also represented the citizens of Carter, Elliott and Morgan Counties as Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney for 10 years.
